The farm Richiari Porciglia is situated in the town of Greve in Chianti within the province of Florence. Greve is located in the very centre of the Chianti region which, aside from its uniquely beautiful landscapes, is also a wine producing area widely known for the excellence of its wines under the labels of Chianti Classico.
The farm is to be found practically half way between Florence & Siena on the picturesque Chiantigiana route. Traveling along this road is, by itself, a very pleasurable experience as it meanders through the gentle Tuscan hills amongst the vineyards and fields of olive trees where the colours and the aromas will stimulate your senses.
Of paramount importance to Richiari Porciglia is the production of high quality wines based on the principle that only the best grape can produce wines of excellence. It is company tradition to supply natural products, without seeking maximum yields and using traditional methods ( the harvesting, as an example, is entirely a manual process) and above all, to offer excellent wines at the appropriate price.
All efforts culminate with the harvesting and the preparatory work in the cellars which encompasses passion, emotion and values of those involved which ,hopefully, manifest themselves within that glass of wine! None of this could take place without the invaluable assistance by the resident oenologist Dr. Giovanni Cappelli.
